Junior members of art group in Tipperary have one more get-together before Christmas

Junior members of the South Tipperary Art Group will meet on this Saturday

The South Tipperary Art Group (STAG) Wednesday painting/craft session in the South Tipperary Arts Centre is now closed for the Christmas holidays, as the studio upstairs is undergoing a transformation as a Winter Wonderland for children.

Last Tuesday night week also marked the end of the autumn sessions, where the group had a get-together for all adult members, a mini party and the AGM.

Congratulations to Maeve, who sold her large painting of Slievenamon last week from The Showgrounds Shopping Centre; and to Wednesday STAG member Marie, whose painting of Bee Orchid was selected for the retrospective exhibition in Clonmel Library for December.

STAG artwork is on display and for sale in Befanis Restaurant; The Leisure Centre, Hotel Minella; The Showgrounds Shopping Centre; the Outpatients Corridor at Tipperary University Hospital and in Slievenamon Golf Club.

To buy that special gift for a very special person, please contact the Organiser Maureen Purcell at 086-8096823. Maureen has access to many more artworks in the store.

Junior STAG, both Primary and Senior members will have one last art session on this Saturday, December 14 before Christmas.
The Primary section are nearly finished cutting, pasting, stencilling and glittering their artwork and Christmas cards, while the seniors are just finished printing their cards from their own designed block prints.

This last autumn session with both sections of Junior STAG has been a very industrious one.

Art will recommence in the New Year in mid-January. The names of new members, age 9 years to Leaving Certs, will be taken from January 3.
