To Sinead Buckley, daughter of Theo and Loretta and we mustn’t forget her proud grandparents Willie and Margo Buckley, Cappagh, on Sinead’s big win at the “Long Puck” last weekend. It was a great achievement Sinead.


Pilates will start for the Autumn season on Tuesday, September 13, from 8pm to 9pm. Six classes cost €30. Aerobics will start on Thursday, September 15, from 8pm to 9pm. Again €30 for the aerobics classes. So if you want to lose those few extra pounds in time for the festive season now is the time to start.


To Noreen Maher/Burke, London and formerly of Clonganhue, who will celebrate a significant birthday on Friday, September 10, and birthday greetings to Anita Barry, Cappagh who will have a big bash on Friday 10th also when she’ll celebrate her 21st birthday with all her friends. The lovely wedding took place on September 2 last of Shelia Carew S.R.N. second daughter of Brigid and the late John Carew, Lenane, The groom was Paudie Ryan from Holyford. Good luck health happiness is the sincere wish for a long and happy married life together.


To the brothers, Denis, Andy, Dan and sister Mary of the late Julia Bourke who was called to her eternal reward after a long illness. Her remains were interred in her native Cappawhite cemetery. TEA DANCE

A large crowd attended the tea dance on Saturday last when everyone was on the floor for the lovely music of Sam O’ Doherty. Much thanks to the committee for serving such a lovely tea and desert, also to the people who brought spot prizes much thanks to all.
