St David’s U.12 team began the new season with a fine 3 -2 win in Rathkeale last Saturday. The U.13s will play Galbally in a Premier Division game at Aisling Park on this Saturday at 11 am. The U.10s will play their re-arranged match with Pallas on this Thursday evening at 6.30pm. Also, next Sunday, a sponsored cycle for U.10s will take place. Participants should assemble in Aisling Park at 1.30 pm.


Hospital Tennis Club will hold a Junior American Open on Saturday, September 10. It commences at 10.30am for the 8-9 age group, 12.30 pm for the 10-13 age group and 2.30 pm for the 14-17 year olds. Entry fee is €E6 and includes refreshments.

The Adult American Open is on Sunday, September 11, commencing at 1 pm sharp. Sections include Ladies Doubles A, Ladies Doubles B (division 4/5 of Tipperary League) and Men’s Doubles. Well done to Stevie O’Donnell on his involvement in the production of “Up For The Match” on Saturday night last. He was the one responsible for bringing the RTE Cameras to Lattin, Tipperary Town and surrounding areas.

The girls took on Fethard on Wednesday, September 1, in Cahir in A County Semi Final. It was a thrilling game where our girls played their hearts out. Fethard took control from the beginning and the half time score was 3-5 to our 2-3. We dominated for periods of the second half but could not get passed their three point lead. Our opponents emerged winners with a score of 6-7 to 6-4. Thanks to Sean O’Donoghue and Siobhan Carew. The players were as follows; Meave Carew, Aoife O’Dwyer, Katie O’Donoghue, Maria Nash, Helen Quirke, Ciara Cunningham, Megan O’Neill, Josephine Ryan(1-0), Lara O Dwyer(0-2), Emer Quirke, Mairead O Connor(2-2), Orla Landers, Niocla Buckley, Maria Kinnane(3-0) and Carol Vaughan. Subs played: Aoife Ryan, Noelle Looby and Cora Howe.


Both groups had games this week and suffered defeated to Sean Treacys. Our U14s took on The Treacys on Monday, August 29, in Annacarty in a West Semi Final while the U16s played them on Saturday in the losers final of the Championship.

The U14 now go on to play Rockwell in The U14 West Hurling Shield Semi Final on Saturday 10th at 6pm in Lattin.


On this Thursday, September 8, our U12 hurlers take on Arravale Rovers(B) in The West Hurling Plate Semi Final in Hannon Park, Lattin at 6.45pm. All Support would be greatly appreciated.
