Lattin Cullen

Lattin Tennis Club offer sympathy to Pat and Imelda Quirke and family, on the tragic death of their son Alan. We were delighted to gain Alan and his brother Gary as members of our club earlier this year, they both played in our weekly Tuesday tournaments. Alan displayed great skills on court and showed lovely manners towards his peers and to the adults.

As a mark of respect towards Alan and his family the children held a minute silence at last week’s Tuesday tournament. We hope his family find comfort from all the memories that the local clubs share of him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

It was with profound sadness that the tragic death of Alan Quirke was greeted last week.

Alan was a very talented hurler and footballer who was a very popular member of the club. Words of condolence seem inadequate at a time like this, but the level of support, the number of volunteers and helpers, and the genuine sense of grief shown throughout the week was an indication of how highly Alan and his family are thought of in the parish.

Our sincerest sympathies to Pat, Imelda, Liam and Gary, and the extended Quirke and Lowry families. Ar dheis Dè go raibh a anam òg
