A feast of festivals
in 1993

We continue our weekly trips along the highways and byways of County Tipperary and down a few memory lanes in between.
The summer of 1993 seemed to be a great one for festivals. In early August there was the Colaiste Cois Suire in Newcastle, the Clogheen Festival, a St. Molleran’s Field Day and a Homecoming in Carrick-on-Suir, and the Ardmayle Reunion.
Also the pupils from Rosegreen NS organised a sponsored cycle and raised £278.75 for the school. Included in that picture are Thomas Byrne, Peter Butler, Patrick Graham, John Lalor (principal), Shane Long, Annette Doyle and Andrew Mernath.
The Tynans from Boherlahan feature in another photo, all enjoying the Ardmayle Reunion of early August 1993.
Three young trad musicians, Rio Howley, Jessica Kelly and Fiona Walsh attened the open air concert at Colaiste Cois Suire, Newcastle.
And a pretty Leonie O’Shea posed for the camera at the St. Molleran’s Field Day.
