The Cappawhite N.S. U13 Football team won the Cumann na mBunscol Roinn H County Final in The Ragg on Thursday, November 8. Cappawhite had a decisive win over Lorrha N.S., final score 5-7 to 1-7. To Cissy Quigley and John Ryan (L) on the death of their brother Timmy, who was interred in Cappawhite cemetery on Sunday, November 11. Sympathy to Kathleen Carey, Shanaclune, on the death last week on her dad Thomas Ryan, Lahorna, Nenagh. Birthday greetings were in order on Saturday, November 10, for Jessica, oldest daughter of Dermott and Michelle Hayes, Clonganhue. A large gathering of family and many friends were at Jessica’s home for the party.


The wedding took place in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cappawhite, on Friday, November 9, of Christine Ryan, Kilbeg, and John Cooney, Clare. Chief bridesmaid was Mary Kate Ryan, bridesmaid was Sandra O’Dwyer, Best man was Brian Cooney, groomsman was Michael Collins. The celebrant was Fr. T. Furlong P.P. assisted by Fr. P. Larkin. The reception was held in Dundrum House Hotel. Best wishes to Christine and John for a long and happy life together.  


In the Resource Centre Mick Hanly will deliver an evening of storytelling and his own music on Saturday, November 17, at 8pm. Places limited. No entry charge; a small contribution is requested.
