WALK ON WEDNESDAYS
Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál are starting a “Walk on Wednesdays” (WOW) programme as part of their Active Schools Flag campaign. Brendan Cummins will launch this today Wednesday 9 May. Everyone is invited to walk with the pupils & staff from the G.A.A. field to the school at 9.15am and then join us for a school fundraising Breakfast morning in the the Convent Hall.
NEW INN & DISTRICT VINTAGE & CLASSIC CLUB
are holding their Annual run in aid of the Alzimers society of Ireland, this Sunday 13 May, registration at 11am in Barrons Bar, New Inn. Entry fee €10, all vintage cars and tractors welcome. Refreshments afterwards in Barrons. More info from Gary on 085 7415282.
NEW INN TENNIS CLUB
is a hive of activity at the moment as the tennis season gets into full swing. Ladies Doubles leagues and a Mens Doubles league have been organised and will begin next week. With over 60 players participating, the next few weeks promises some exciting and enjoyable matches. The construction of a courtside shelter has begun and we would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have volunteered their time and expertise in this venture. There will be a clean up of New Inn church on Monday 14 May at 7pm in preparation for First Holy Communion.

CHOIRS SEMINAR: - Sun 13th May in Marion hall, Tipp, 2.30pm – 5pm. Dr. John O’ Keeffe, (Director of Church music) will conduct the day. It is hoped choirs from every parish will attend.

COMMUNITY ALERT
Woodenstown, Chamberlainstown, Whitelands, Newtown, Graigue, Loughkent Lower, Caddlestown, Springfield, Shanballyard and Ballinattin Community Alert Area. It is proposed to have the next meeting on Monday, 14 May, in the NICC at 8.00 pm. It is hoped that a representative from every household will attend meeting.
WOMEN’S GROUP
Treasure Hunt will be held on next Tuesday 15 May at 6.30pm in Rockwell College. Meeting point at the church, participants can start between the times 6.30pm and 7.15pm. Refreshments afterwards in the NICC. €5 per adult, children are free. All are welcome.

NEW INN/ROSEGREEN BASKETBALL CLUB
held a family fun day in Rockwell College. It was a fantastic day for all the children and their parents. Special thanks to Ruth & Kate Molony from The Den, Afterschool, Cashel who were present on the day and organised a range of fun filled games and activities for all the children. Thanks also to the hard working committee who provided a delectable selection of food and refreshments on the day. Any Sponsorship cards still outstanding can be returned to John Ryan on 087 6784850 or Louise Ryan on 087 9277077 or dropped into Barron’s pub, New Inn. A draw will take place when all the cards have been dropped back.
