Congratulations to club man and Tipperary goalie Brendan Cummins and the entire Tipperary Senior Hurling team on retaining the Munster Senior hurling title against Waterford in Cork on Sunday last. A great achievement and it’s the fortieth Munster title for Tipperary!! Congratulations also to clubman Tom Kirwan and the Tipperary Minor Hurling team on their Munster success in Cork against Clare on Sunday last. Tom now adds a Minor Hurling medal to his Munster Minor football medal won last week against Kerry.


Sunday 22 July: Minister of the Word: Peggy Rylands. Minister of the Eucharist: Leish Shine. BAPTISMS: The following arrangements for Baptisms will apply from Saturday May 5. Baptisms will only take place on Saturdays. On the first of each month Baptism will be held in Grange Church at 5pm. On the second and third Saturday of each month Baptisms will be held in Ardfinnan Church at 5pm and on the fourth Saturday of each month Baptism will be held in Ballybacon Church.


This year’s Gymkhana takes place on this Sunday, 22 July (weather permitting) in Jim Moran’s land on the Goatenbridge/Ardfinnan Road. A fundraising dance will be held in the Glenview Lounge that night and all monies raised will go towards the costs of the Gymkhana.


In light of recent burglaries and thefts in the area, we would advise members of the Community to be on the alert for any suspicious activities or vehicles in the area and report them to the Gardai immediately.


This year we are holding a car boot sale on Sunday, 5 August at our Gala day. If you have items in your attic or shed and that you would like to sell, please come along. Its just €20 fee per car and anything you make after that fee is yours. So empty the shed and come to Clogheen. See you all there!
