Ardfinnan Tidy Towns is making great progress around the village and would once again thank everyone who has helped out over the last few weeks. We are getting great feedback on our new flower beds that have been placed around the village. We have to give great praise to our committee members Kitty and Ann who are given so much time and effort planting all the flowers and trees. We would just like everyone to remember that every small bit people do around their own area goes along way in our overall goal. Once again keep up the good work.

Table Quiz.

The Club would like to thank those who supported the table quiz, the organisers, helpers and Joan and her staff.

On Saturday, February 25, the Club hosted a Grouse Seminar in association with the Irish Red Grouse Association.

It was a very successful day, 26 Clubs countrywide attended. Dr Douglas Butler opened the seminar with an excellent report on the Clubs Grouse Project. Pat O’Sullivan spoke on safety. After question/answers and a cup of tea , all present proceeded to the hill. It was not possible to carry out a heather burning session due to very wet heather but evidence of the Club’s hard work was obvious. On returning to the Glenview Lounge soup and sandwiches were provided by Joan and staff. After a short discussion on the day’s activities the seminar was closed by Jim Fitzharris of T.R.E.S.S
