Well done to Shauna Ryan, Slatefield, who was invited to dance for the Ambassador in Brussels on St. Patricks Day and who appeared on RTE later that evening. Shauna, daughter of Bill and Marian Ryan has won two world championships and is preparing for the World Competitions coming up in April again.


Will take place in Community Hall, Dualla on Friday, April 6, at 8.30pm. Please come along and support this event which will raise much needed funds to pay the Community Hall bills. Table of four is E20. Refreshments will be provided on the night and there will also be a raffle, so any donations of spot prizes would be appreciated.

A Show Not To Be Missed: Scoil San Isadoir are staging a show called Bóthar Fadó on March 29 and 30. The show is divided in to five parts: Tubberadora Fadó, Scoil Fadó, Fadó Fadó, Damhsa Fadó, Paróiste Fadó. It is a combination of history, dance, music and drama, telling the story of significant events, people, organisations etc in the parish over the last 150 years. Through being involved in this production, the children will carry through life a great sense of pride and belonging to their parish especially when they move away from home. Tickets: Adults: E10. Donations of fresh daffodils will be greatly appreciated and can be handed in at the Vincent de Paul House, John St. On Thursday, March 22, from 2pm onwards. Volunteers to help wrap the daffodils will be most welcome.


Sympathy is extended to the Michael Murphy and Mary Heney, Talbot Park and to Joan Murphy, Synone on the death of their brother Paddy Murphy in Cork. May he Rest in Peace.
