Due to popular demand, a reprise of Donal Wylde’s nostalgic photographic exhibition The Light of Other Days, contrasted with Waterford landscape photographer Terry Murphy’s panoramic images of South Tipperary’s beautiful countryside, will run under the banner of Face to Place at the County Museum in Clonmel from Saturday, October 20th until February 2nd.
The exhibition will be launched by special guest Mary Wilson from RTE - and who’s originally from Rathkenny, Drangan - at 7.30pm on this Saturday evening, 20th.
The Light of Other Days captures life in Clonmel and South Tipperary in the 1960s and 1970s as seen through the lens of Donal Wylde as a youthful photo-journalist with The Nationalist.
Terry Murphy’s Panoramix show features large format prints of South Tipperary’s beauty spots and hidden treasures. Better known as a commercial photographer, Terry’s passion has always been for atmospheric landscapes and seascapes in his native south east.
Face to Place is a collection of unique images of an age that has gone and of a county and countryside of which we can be proud.
