The River Suir will be put under the spot light at a seminar in the Carraig Hotel on Tuesday, January 21.
The four-hour long River Suir Showcase will feature a series of short talks on a range of river-related topics.
It will be an ideal opportunity to meet other river people and find out what activities are going on in the river from time to time.
It is also an opportunity for river users to share information or hear about the many river-related projects that are underway.
Specialists from the various bodies that have responsibility for different aspects of the river will be attending the seminar to answer any queries from the public.
Topics covered will include inland waterways, boating on the river, water quality, navigation, invasive species, heritage survey projects and community and
voluntary activities on the river.
Members of South Tipperary Heritage Forum, representatives from national government departments, local authorities, NGOs and local interest groups will be available for discussion at the seminar.
All are welcome to come along and attend the entire seminar, which runs from 3pm to 7pm, or drop in for a short period of time.
The seminar is a follow-up to requests during the River Suir Café and Community Workshops held over the summer undertaken as part of the Waterways Forward Project.
