Congratulations to James Condon and Sean Burke who are on the U-15 Football Development Squad for West Tipperary. Likewise to Andrew Vance who is on the U-14 Hurling Development Squad for West Tipperary. Continued success to all these lads.

Both of these Clubs put out a second team on the night and success came to Emly in this game.

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS

Young people are particularly welcome to participate in the 50th International Eucharistic Congress Youth Space, which will host the Programme “Go! COMMUNITY COUNCIL – EMLY 10K

Meeting next Tuesday night at 8pm in the Parish Hall to continue preparations for the upcoming 10K Road-race / know your parish walk, to be held on Sunday, April 15.

TIDY TOWN

A major clean-up will take place over the next number of weeks. We appeal for volunteers to help. Details will appear on the parish bulletin over the next few weeks.

EMLY GAA CLUB

There will be a scrap metal collection on Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14. The collection will be from 9am to 5pm both days in the Thatch Car Park. The following items will not be accepted – electrical equipment, tyres, gas bottles, freezers, fridges and beer kegs.

The West Minor B Football will begin for Emly/Treacys next week against Clonoulty-Rossmore. Please Check Emly GAA or Emly GAA on Facebook for info on this fixture.

EMLY TENNIS CLUB

Children’s Easter Tennis Camp taking place from April 10 to 13. Cost is €25 per child, €40 for two children and €50 for three or more children. Children participating in the tennis camp must be official members for insurance purposes. Anybody interested in supervising for the Easter Camp please contact Carol O’Brien 087-8351183 or Mary McGrath 062-57379. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to to the tennis club church gate collection last weekend. It is very much appreciated. All those participating in the adult tournament to ensure that all games are to be played off as soon as possible.
