A great week on the football front where we had 100 per cent success. What a performance by our U14s who turned the tables on the hot favourites and champions in a pulsating game, this will surely rank as of one of the greatest Killenaule performances of all time. From start to finish we played with great fire and no little skill and in a titanic finish we held on for a great win. Everyone of our team were outstanding but L Gleeson, D O’Connor, L Meagher, K O’Dwyer, E Barry, E Shaw and Man Of The Match S Burke were excellent. Our junior footballers got their first win of their campaign with a comprehensive win over Fr. Sheehys. Best on the night were A Leahy, C Prendergast, K Cleary, K Prendergast, A Walshe, C Maguire and Man Of Match Rory Loughman. Our seniors continue to blaze a winning trail and we kicked off with a great win over rivals Mullinahone. In a robust match our lads got stuck in and got a deserved win. Best on the night were S Hannigan, S Browne, N Bergin, K, Bergin, G Kennedy, M Doyle and man of the match D Fanning. Against a strong Galtee team we probably played our best football of the year and so qualified for the next round of the county championship. Best on the night were R Hall, D Ryan, P Codd, C Bergin, M Doyle, Bubbles and Man Of The Match T Doyle.
Best of luck to Bubbles who will captain Tipperary U21s against Cork.
