On Sunday, October 14, two teams of Cubs travelled to Kilsheelan to participate in the Cub County Challenge where they took part in a quiz and had to do some scouting skills at different bases. Well done to all involved: Paul Carberry, Erin Burke, Katelyn O’Sullivan, Shane Mcnamara, Cian O’Leary, Sean Og Coughlan, Martin Condon, Chloe Bray, Ellen Meagher, Sinead Cunningham, Eoin Ryan and Yvonne Clancy. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our two new members to Cubs: Seán Cunningham and Niamh Boyle. We hope they enjoy their time in Cubs with us. The Cubs had their first hike of the year on Saturday, October 20, where 17 Cubs and their leaders hiked up to Liam Lynch’s monument. A great day was had by all and the Cubs learned some new skills like: starting a fire, backwoods cooking, tracking and trailing.

Would you like to feel more relaxed, clear headed, healthier, positive, energetic and focused? Take time out of your busy schedule and join Marie Buttler in the Community Centre on Wednesday morning, October 31, from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Just bring a mat or cushion and a bottle of water and you’er good to go.
