The annual collection in aid of the Lourdes Invalid Fund will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24.


The death took place of Michael Mooney, Limerick Junction. Mass was celebrated on Sunday by Fr John Morris. Sympathy is extended his wife Margaret and family. Interment took place at Towerhill, Cappamore.


Our Junior Hurlers had their first outing of the year in the County Junior Hurling League last Saturday in Sologhead and following a high scoring hours hurling had to settle for the runners up spot to Thurles Sarsfields on a score line of, 2-24 to 3-13. Our next fixture is this Sunday, March 17, and its back to football with a round 2 game with Fr. Sheehys in Sologhead, throw in 12 noon.

Our U14 Footballers were also in action on Saturday last in Dundrum for a West League game against the Kickhams and also had to settle for the runners up spot as the Kickhams emerged winners by the minimum margin, 0-7 to 1-3.

Next up for the U14 Footballers is a Round 2 League clash with Arravale Rovers this Saturday, March 16, in Sean Treacy Park, throw in 3pm.

In conjunction with the Tipperary County Board table quiz, Sologhead GAA Club will be hosting a heat of the quiz this Friday, March 15, in the Hideout commencing at 9pm. Questions are on general knowledge and cost E40 per table.
