Juvenile Hurling

Our under 14 team were in action against Mullinahone in Goatenbridge on Thursday night in the Championship. We started well in this match and got early scores to settle the team. Mullinahone raised their game in the second half but found our defence and goalkeeper in excellent form and they found scores hard to come by. We dominated the last quarter of the game to go on to victory and our next match is Thursday night against Moyle Rovers in Monroe. Our under 12 hurlers are in action tonight in Goatenbridge against St Patrick’s.

Training continues for all juveniles in Goatenbridge every Tuesday night starting at 6.30pm and all are welcome.

In under 16 we played our first match on Monday night against Kilsheelan in Goatenbridge.

Intermediate Hurling

Our match against Moyle Rovers was called off because of weather conditions last weekend and the game will be re-fixed after the Munster Hurling Final. We congratulate Tom Kirwan and the County Minor Footballers on their fine victory over Kerry in Munster Final last weekend. Tom played a key role in this victory operating at corner forward and he contributed to victory with very important scores. Tom has a second Munster Final in Minor Hurling this coming weekend against Clare in Cork and it would be a great achievement to add this to football title won already.
