TWO WEDDINGS

The wedding took place in Our Lady of Fatima Church on November 19, of Marissa Ryan (P), only child of Dan and Therese Ryan, Ayle, to Gerard O’Connor. Celebrant Fr. John O’Neill P.P. Galbally, cousin of the bride. Maid of honour Catriona Barry flew in from New Zealand for the occasion. Bridesmaids Tricia Fitzgerald, Michelle Ryan, and Aoife O’Connor. Bestman Hugh Cullen, Groomsmen Michael O’Connor, Darragh O’Connor and Denis Cronin. Pageboys Daniel O’Connor and Jay O’Connor. The wedding also took place in Solohead Church recently of Joanne, daughter of Mattie and Peggy Kennedy, Inch, to Billy Fanning, Offaly. Bestman Brian Fanning, Groomsmen Phil and Paddy Fanning, Chief Bridesmaid Helen Kennedy, Bridemaids Ruth Kennedy and Peggy Gantly. The pair were married by Fr. Coffey. Music by Joan O’Neill and singing by Majella Doody.

Congrats to Paul McCarthy and Johnny Breen who received awards recently in recognition of their years of dedicated service to the GAA. Cappa GAA fun run takes place next Sunday at 1pm, from the resource centre. U21 hurlers were defeated in the west semi final on Sunday. Golden 2-14 Cappa/Solohead 0-4.
