Burncourt Text Alert
Burncourt Community Council and the local Community Alert Committee have made contact with An Garda Siochána and Muintir na Tire with regard to the provision of a Text Alert service in the Burncourt area. The basis of the service is that it allows those involved to text a message about what they regard as suspicious activity to a main phone which will be held by a member of the Community Alert Committee. This person can then forward the text to Cahir Garda Station who can respond to the information. Following their investigation, the Garda will text an update to every member in the service. Funding to cover such as road signage will be received from South Tipperary Development Company. There is a once off payment of €20 which allows every adult in the household to be part of the scheme.
If you are interested in availing of the Text Alert Service please fill in the Consent form to be distributed by next week and return to members of Burncourt Community Council or hand in to Maureen Creed’s Shop, Burncourt.
