The postponed AGM will take place on Wednesday, April 17, at 8pm in the Community Centre Kilfeacle. Information officer Maureen O’Connell will attend. Hostesses on the night: Anne Fanning and Breda Kirwan. Prize will be presented by Jane Horan. Fees now due at AGM. Tai chi classes commence April 24 at 8pm.
COMMUNITY ALERT
A meeting will be held in the Community Hall, Golden, on Monday, April 22, at 8pm with a view to setting up a text alert service for the area. A member of the Gardai will attend the meeting to explain how the service will work.
JUVENILE GAA
Saturday last our U10 hurlers went to Thurles for a County blitz. They played three games and were successful against Moneygall and Upperchurch but were narrowly defeated by Cappawhite. Easter Camp - 55 children took part with four top class coaches in attendance.
GAA WALKING TRACK
The lovely new track in our GAA Field is almost complete. Due to electricity and insurance costs we are asking anyone using this facility for €20 per year to cover expenses. For this amount you become a social member of Golden/Kilfeacle GAA Club.
FESTIVAL NEWS
Only six weeks to go to our Queen of the Suir Festival, keep June bank holiday weekend free. Congrats to Aoife Barry, Cashel, and Marie O’Rourke, Laffensbridge, two more ladies in the Queen of the Suir competition.
