The Senior League match against Sallypark was cancelled last Sunday due to a water logged pitch; the game was only called off two hours before kickoff. Next Sunday is the final of the division one Shield against Clonmel Celtic, the best of luck to the girls. Training every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.15pm.


At the April meeting, which all members attended, Marie Crean, National Craft Award winner, gave a demonstration of rush work. Rushes are collected near a river and the craft goes way back in time. Marie had some of her work on display such as baskets, shopping baskets, lunch boxes, stools, lampshades etc. She had some work displayed in the Clonmel Museum. Marie would be willing to run a class on patchwork, crochet. Contact Lily Barrett if interested. Dates for your diary – The local garden club will hold an afternoon in St Marys Hall on Sunday, April 28, at 3pm. Demonstration by well known Mildred Stokes. Sales table, afternoon tea and raffle €10 (all included). Proceeds going to Daffodil Day
