Public meeting

Senior Gardai will attend the second public meeting about residents concerns over anti-social behaviour and crime in Carrick-on-Suir next Monday, November 18.

The meeting, organised by the Crime Awareness Carrick-on-Suir Committee, takes place in the Carraig Hotel at 8pm.

It’s a follow up to the successful public meeting in the Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre on October 3 at which the Crime Awareness Committee was formed.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, and those with questions or concerns will have a chance to voice them.

Representatives from local schools and clubs will be present along with Gda. Sup. John Courtney, Gda. Sgt. Ian Barrett and other guest speakers.

Nagle Centre courses

Carrick-on-Suir’s Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre is taking names for courses in manual handling, Irish language, Sign language and flower arranging.

A Mass of remembrance, consolation and hope will be offered at Glencomeragh House to remember all those who have died through suicide tonight (Wednesday November 13 at 8pm.

All are welcome and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Flower Arranging

Glasha Flower and Garden Society will host a flower arranging demonstration in the Carraig Hotel on Wednesday, December 4 at 8pm.

The Demonstrator is Christopher White from Dublin. Aall proceeds will go to St. Brigid’s Hospital, Carrick-on-Suir and World Association of Flower Arranging.
