Senior Hurling

Our senior hurlers were defeated by Carrick Davins in the O’Rian Cup game which was played in Kilsheelan on Friday last. The final score was Carrick 1-18 Kickhams 1-15. We are now into the dreaded relegation dogfight which has seen us paired with fellow West division side Aherlow in a must win game in Sean Treacy Park on Sunday, August 12. If we lose that game we are into last chance saloon territory and our reward will be a final match with the losers of Upperchurch and Holycross to decide who will drop to intermediate hurling for next year. We the officers of Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams would ask all supporters, selectors, and players alike to put aside any negativity and to please pull together in this your clubs greatest need and help ensure that Kickhams maintain their proud tradition as a senior club in West Tipperary. That opportunity will present itself when we next take the field against Aherlow who will be equally determined to maintain their status, so a dog fight awaits but we know that our team are ready for an almighty battle and we ask all our supporters to please give them every bit of encouragement on the day. Check fixtures list for time etc.
