The Swan Club’s U-14 team that won the South Féile title were presented with the cup on The Green last Friday.

The Swan Club’s U-14 team that won the South Féile title were presented with the cup on The Green last Friday.

The following day, the team played Holycross/Ballycahill in the county semi-final in Littleton.

They played with a stiff wind in the first half. It took a while for the Swan players to get going and were just two points up at half time.

They fought extremely hard in the second half and it was only with three minutes to go that Holycross got on top. An injury time goal made the score line look worse because the Swans deserved to get something from this game. Full time score: Carrick Swan 1-05, Holycross/Ballycahill 1-10.

Holycross went on to beat Kilruane MacDonaghs of North Tipperary in the final. Congratulations to Holycross and best of luck in the All-Ireland Féile in July.

The U-16s take on Clonmel Commercials on The Green this evening (Wednesday, May 8) at 7pm. These boys also play Moyle Rovers on The Green next Sunday at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the U-12 boys played St Patrick’s in Drangan last Friday last. We played some great football and have really improved as the year has progressed but St Patrick’s proved too strong for us.

The Junior hurlers had a good run out against Carrigeen last week in preparation for their upcoming South Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship.

Six of the U-16s played for South Tipperary in the Munster inter-divisional tournament last Saturday.

South Tipp won all three of their games. These boys played their semi-final on Monday of this week (report next week).

The Club’s juvenile disco for nine to 13 year-olds took place last Friday. All in attendance really enjoyed their night. The Club thanks everyone for coming.
