CHURCH GATE COLLECTIONS
The Irish Cancer Society would like to thank all those who contributed to their recent church gate collection in the parish. The total raised was €E670.
A church gate collection for Self Help in Lisronagh recently raised €E136.93. Thanks for your generosity.

Congratulations to Tony and Deirdre Maher whose child Ciaran Patrick was baptised in Powerstown on Sunday.

Friday next is the first Friday of the month. Mass in Lisronagh on Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Mass in Powerstown on Friday morning at 10am Eucharistic devotion on Friday from 4pm to 7pm.

Sunday school is taking a summer break. It will start again on Sunday, September 2.
Our Junior B footballers took on Cahir last Wednesday. After a tough game of football they were beaten on a scoreline of Cahir 2-4 Moyle Rovers 1-5.
Our intermediate hurlers took on Fr Sheehy’s on Saturday evening last, we won comprehensively in the end on a scoreline Moyle Rovers 2-18 Fr Sheehy’s 1-9.

On Saturday, June 16, in Munroe the David Boland Memorial Shield took place. Clubs that took part were Moyle Rovers, Ballybacon Grange, Clerihan and Carrick Swan.
Carrick Swan were the eventual winners after a great final between them and Moyle Rovers.
Many thanks to the Boland family, Declan Browne, Sean Carey and Johnny Cummins. Thanks also to the mentors/trainers for their commitment and hard work. Thank you to all the parents for their support and help on the day.

On Saturday, June 30, our U8s travelled to Dr.Morris park Thurles where they played some great hurling against JK Brakens, Loughmore & Killenaule.
