Cahir Historical Society are holding a talk on Quakers in Cahir with Dr. Michael Ahern, on Wednesday, April 10, at 8pm in Cahir Presbyterian Church, Abbey Street. All are welcome to attend.


The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered to the boys and girls of sixth class at St. Mary’s Church, on Sunday April 14 at 3pm.

Fundraising Concert

Concert in aid of St. Mary’s Parish Cahir, “All in the April Evening, with the classics” will take place on Friday, April 19, at 7.30pm. The Willis Organ at St. Mary’s has recently been completely restored, with extra stops added, so it will be wonderful to hear it played. Vocal soloists will add variety to the Choral Society’s programme, which features some of the greatest favourites of all time, including All in the April Evening, Speed your Journey, Panis Angelicus, Be Still My Soul, Mozart’s Ave Verum, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Handel’s Largo. Tea and biscuits will be served in the Parish Rooms.

Bealtaine Festival

Will take place at Cahir Library on Thursday, May 9, with artist Tina from 2pm to 4pm. On Tuesday, May 14, you are invited to a Collage Class with Michele from 11am to 1pm and also on Tuesday, May 21, Colour with Michele from 11am to 1pm. Booking with Ann at the Library.

Fun Cycle Race

Colaiste Dun Iascaigh Fun Cycle Race will take place on Sunday, April 14, with two routes 75km and 30km. Entry fee €20 commencing at 10m. Helmet mandatory.
