GOOD FRIDAY GOOD WORK
At present the streets of Mullinahone and the approach roads leading in to the village are looking clean and tidy. For this, much of the credit must go to the local village Tidy Towns committee. Having organised a clean up of the streets some weeks ago the officers organised a major clean up of the approach roads on Good Friday morning. Our thanks to the many young people who came along to help out. Tipperary Co.Co. were co-opted to take the collected and bagged rubbish away this Tuesday, April 10. It was stored neatly by kind permission in the local G.A.A. car park. Perhaps we will have more helpers next time. The clean up began around 10 a.m. and went on until well into the afternoon. By evening 100 sacks of rubbish were ready for collection.
Croconoir Concert - The next concert takes place on Wednesday, April 25, at 8.30 p.m. with Sonny Condell.
We salute Fr. McGrath for his wonderful work at all the ceremonies during Holy Week. We have become accustomed to the highest standards and it is our visitors who notice. No morning Mass in St. Michael’s this week. Adoration will be in the church on Thursday as usual from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Divine Mercy Novena which began on Good Friday continues until Sunday next, April 15th. Thanks to all parishioners who have subscribed to the Spring collection for the priests of the archdiocese. Sympathy to the family of Ned Kelly, formerly of Bawnavorona who died recently in Australia.
Thank you from Sean Bermingham and Luke Brabazen whose coffee morning raised E720 in aid of South Tipperary Hospice and L’Arche.
