What the Carrick Development Plan amendment means

The amendment councillors voted to include in the new Carrick-on-Suir Development Plan provides for planning applications for supermarkets up to 2,500sq m in size to be open for consideration at light industrial zoned sites in the town provided there is no other suitable site available.

Councillors voted 4 to 3 at a special meeting of the Town Council last week in favour of adopting the new Town Plan.
