Spafield Centre to host community groups
Changing Times
An information night will be held at Spafield Family Resource Centre on Wednesday, June 12, at 7.30pm about the changing times in women’s lives, with particular reference to the menopause.
This night is of relevance to women aged 30 and older. For further information on the event contact 0871495075.
Helping Hands/ Creative Campaigning Community Group
A creative collective will meet on Monday, June 10, at Spafield Family Resource Centre. The group will raise awareness to national issues in this creative campaigning initiative.
Workshops will be provided to the group in creative campaigning. They will also use their skills to create visual resource materials to support local organisations and other charities.

Frugal Fridays
Frugal Fridays, the resourceful initiative from Spafield Family Resource Centre, will roll out into the community this week with its invitation to local business to promote themselves in our promotional poster campaign.
Community development worker Cher Quinlan will visit business premises in the area this week to distribute the posters.
Thank you to all who have registered their interest for the Frugal Fridays campaign so far.
Young Mums Group
There is a new group for young mums meeting at Spafield Family Resource Centre. This group will focus on mums self care and alternative therapies in a holistic setting.

Men’s Shed
The Men’s Shed group is taking a stall at Fethard car boot sale to raise money for the shed. Donations of saleable items can be given to Deirdre at the resource centre.
Men’s Health Week
Spafield Family Resource Centre are organising a walk to the Swiss Cottage on Thursday, June 13.
Meet at Cahir Castle Car Park at 12.30pm. The walk will be gentle enough for anyone who has not exercised recently or regularly.

Positive Parenting Workshop
A two hour workshop ‘Dealing with Challenging Behaviour in Under 10s’ takes place in Spafield Family Resource Centre on Wednesday, June 12, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Parents can explore children’s behaviour, understand the reasons for it and discover methods for coping with it. All are welcome.

AGM
The annual general meeting of Spafield Family Resource Centre will take place at 8pm on June 19, in the Centre, Old Road, Cashel.
