Boherlahan Dualla

At the moment, there are a number of people who wish to be part of the Development Association Parish Alarm Scheme. Unfortunately, we cannot help them as we have no alarms. We are aware that there are alarms in houses where people have gone to nursing homes or gone home to God. It would be wonderful to get these alarms as they can be reused for deserving clients. If you know where one is available, please contact any member of the Parish Council.

Membership is now due for 2012. Seniors: €50, Non Players: €20, Students and Minors: €25. Note all players must be fully paid up members before they play. No players will be covered by insurance if they have not done so. Membership can be accepted in weekly instalments. Contact Ann Flanagan or Betty Stapleton.

Boherlahan Dualla Juvenile GAA: Last Saturday morning our U10s took part in a football blitz in Rockwell. We had two teams participating, playing matches against Moycarkey, Arravale Rovers and Clonmel Commercials. A great experience for them. We hope to be having a three-day GAA camp during the Easter Holidays which is been organised by coaching officer Andy Ryan and his team. Further clarification on this in due course. Training continues as per the usual times each Saturday morning, new players and coaches are always welcome. Membership of €10 is incredible value for juveniles, who enjoy a long and active season. We hope to have a few fundraising activities throughout the year to help finance juvenile activities, any ideas regarding this are very welcome.

There is a youth club ‘rehearsal’ night this Friday in Boherlahan from 7pm to 8.15pm for those children taking part in the Junior Variety Show. This is the last rehearsal before the show and it is important that all children participating in the show attend. The Variety Show will take place on Sunday, March 11, in Drom Community Hall from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

We are very fortunate to have a choir in both Boherlahan and Dualla. Both choirs are currently preparing for St. Patricks Day and Easter. Practices are held in Dualla every Monday evening at 7.30pm and in Boherlahan on Tuesday evening at 8pm.

Bingo continues every Monday night in Boherlahan. Prize money is €1,700 nightly so do come along. Buses serving local surrounding areas. Contact any member of the Bingo Committee for further details.

The organisers of the recent Zimbabwe Appeal for Fr. Peacock wish to thank everybody who contributed at the Church Gate Collections. Your support was appreciated.

The parish of Boherlahan Dualla has certain procedures and a Code of Conduct in place to help in the safeguarding and protection of children. We want to do our best to create a safe environment for children and young people and to ensure their protection from abuse of any kind. These procedures and Code are in our Child Protection Policy which is on display in the Sacristy and Parish Hall. These are available for inspection at any time.
