U16 B Ladies Football Final

Cappawhite 1-03 Aherlow 5-04

Cappawhite and Aherlow played out this County B final in Lattin on a sunny Sunday afternoon last. Cappawhite had met Aherlow earlier in the competition and were narrowly defeated. It was a brilliant first half display from the Cappa ladies where they trailed by a single point 1-1 to 0-3. The Cappawhite ladies were to succumb to a fitter Aherlow outfit in the second half where they pulled away despite an early second half goal from the Cappawhite.

U12 B Football Final

Cappawhite 3-4 Lattin 4-07

Cappawhite played out this West Final on Sunday evening last in Golden. The Cappawhite lads were slow to start and trailed by 3-5 to 1-2 at half time. However they got to grips with the game after the interval and clocked up 2-02 to Lattin’s 1-01 but unfortunately it was not enough. It was a great second half performance from the Cappawhite team.

U11 West Football Group E

The semi- finals and final of this competition were played off in Dundrum on a sunny but showery May Bank Holiday Monday last.

SEMI-FINAL - Cappawhite 9 scores Rockwell 5 scores

Cappawhite lined out against Rockwell Rovers in the first of the semi finals while Golden played Seán Treacys in the other. Cappawhite were up 5 scores to 2 at the break but had to soak up a lot of pressure in the second half before getting to grips with the game. The backs defended well and the forwards tagged on another 4 scores to put the game out of reach of Rockwell who showed great spirit.

FINAL - Cappawhite 8 scores Golden 2 scores

Cappawhite met up with Golden who beat Treacy’s in the other semi final. Interestingly Cappawhite had played Golden away in the competition last week and lost out narrowly by one score. Cappa led at the break 5 scores to 1 on the back of a great team display but knew that Golden wouldn’t give up without a battle. They managed to keep them at bay and converted another 3 scores in the second half. The Plate was presented afterwards to a ecstatic Cappawhite team and supporters.

U14 B Ladies Football

Cappawhite 3-7 Thurles Sarsfields 2-3

The Cappawhite ladies travelled to Thurles to play the third and final round of their competition on Bank Holiday Monday. They trailed by a point at the interval after Thurles grabbed 2 quick goals early on in the game. However this was truly a game of two halves and the visitors rose to the challenge in the second half and put in a great display.

U12 B Football Semi Final

Cappawhite 7-9 Seán Treacy’s 1-2

Cappawhite took sweet revenge on Treacy’s at Dundrum on Bank Holiday Monday. The Holyford lads had beaten them earlier in the competition and Cappa had a score to settle. They took control early in the game and were up 2-5 to 1-1 at half time. This was a good team performance from the Cappa boys and they thoroughly deserved their victory. They now to on to play Lattin Cullen in the final.
