The Residents of St. Finnans Ave would like to thank Paudie Hartigan of Hartigans Garden Centre for his very generous gift of flowers and shrubs for the bottom flower bed and the back road. The flower bed looks fantastic at the moment in full bloom.

Junior and Senior

Our Junior Team will take on St Patricks on Tuesday, July 31, in Ned Hall Park in the South Championship. The Seniors had their games planned for this week postponed due to the progression of Tipperary Seniors in the All Ireland Qualifiers (Come on Tipp!). Keep an eye on the fixtures page and our Facebook page for exact details on when we will be out in championship again.

Under 10

Our Under 10s played Ballyporeen last week in a challenge game and our boys played some outstanding football and came out on top by 3 points. There will be no under 10 training on Wednesday night due to our summer camp but we will play another challenge game away to Ballyporeen on Saturday at 11am.

Under 6 & Under 8

Due to the Summer camp there will be no training for the under 6s and under 8s on Saturday.

Blue & Gold

A big congratulations to the Tipperary Senior football panel and management team on an excellent victory over Antrim in the All Ireland Qualifiers Round 3 on Saturday last. Tipperary had to dig deep to hold off a strong challenge in the later stages of this game. This Tipperary team seem to have the ability to raise their game when it matters and we are all looking forward to the next challenge against Down and hopefully progressing to the All Ireland Quarter Finals.

Summer Camp 2012

As you read this the Boys and Girls of the parish are in the middle of developing their football skills at our 7th Annual Kelloggs Cúl Camp at our Club grounds at Castlekeale. We have in excess of 85 Children booked in for this week of enjoyable football in Ardfinnan. The Club would like to thank all involved in running the camp, a huge amount of work goes into organizing this week to ensure it runs so efficiently. Fingers crossed that the Sun will shine.

The Club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Kieran Quinn of London and late of Western Road, Clonmel, and Barrack Street, Ardfinnan, Co. Tipperary who died recently, may he rest in peace.
