Knockcarron Unveiling of a Memorial Event

Knockcarron Community Council would like to welcome you all as part of our gathering event 2013 to the unveiling of a memorial commemorating four volunteers who were killed at Lackelly on May 2, 1921. There will be a roast hog, sandwiches and refreshments and also live music in The Fox’s Den from 6.30pm.

Ben shared the stage with younger brother Joe Dolan for 47 years, so who better then Ben to tell the stories behind Joe’s songs and highlight his successful singing career.

CRYTO Summer Recital

The Ryan School of Music, Tipperary will present a Summer 
Recital in The Excel Arts Centre on Sunday, May 5 at 3.30pm. The students of The Ryan School of Music will feature The County Tipperary Ryan Youth Orchestra with their conductor Michael John Ryan following their concert tour in Germany.  There will be a special performance by Cellist Livia Nagy from Hungary, The Ryan School of Music Junior String Orchestra, soloists and ensembles.  Tickets can be purchased on the door.

Glenview Square Targeted by Tidy Towns

On Thursday May 2 at 7pm the Tidy Towns volunteers will be out in force in Glenview Square Wildlife Walkway. Please join them.

Thursday May 9 will be Caulfield’s SuperValu car park and Thursday May 16, Pall & Campsite and Rosanna Road.

The Sand Park at The Excel

The Sand Park, a new play written and performed by Seamus O’Rourke is currently touring nationwide and is at the Simon Ryan Theatre Tipperary Excel on Saturday May 11 for one night only. The Sand Park is the sometimes hilarious account of how James Anthony Lowery, a man in his mid-fifties, comes to terms with the death of his son fifteen years ago and now more recently, his wife Rose. It’s a play about rural Irish life and the way we cope with the inevitable. It’s a play about the fun of life, the ritual of death and what happens when either one is altered. To book tickets

Tipperary Craft Cooperative open In Tipperary

A group of local Tipperary based people are opening ‘The Gift Corner’ shop on Main Street, Tipperary Town selling various gifts and hand-made crafts. Opening day is Thursday May 2 and 
Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm thereafter.
