Progress has begun on a new shop, fuel station and off-licence in Boherlahan village in Tipperary.
LMP Developments, owned by Liam Maher from Boherlahan, purchased the property in 2024 to reopen and upgrade the premises to a functional store once again.
The store is located on the R660 in Ardmayle East, close to Boherlahan Cemetery and the nearby parish hall. The former family-run petrol station, O'Dwyer's, has been closed for some time.
Local Councillor Declan Burgess said the reopening is a fantastic boost for the community as well as the local economy.

In a post on Facebook, Cllr Burgess said: "Great to see work in progress on the shop in Boherlahan village.
"This new business in Boherlahan is widely welcomed by the community and will be a great boost to the local economy.
Wishing Liam and his family all the best in this exciting new venture.
"This will be a fantastic addition to both the village and the community. Located on the R660 in the heart of the village, the former O’Dwyer’s shop, which has been closed for several years, will now be given a new lease of life.
"Maher’s Mace and Applegreen Fuel Station, Boherlahan coming soon."
Job opportunities in the shop are now also being advertised to include store managers and sales assistants.
