Patrons of The Cottage in Loughmore were in for quite a shock this afternoon when none other than international music star Daniel O'Donnell rocked through the door for a surprise visit.
The Cottage, an award-winning tea rooms, posted a heartfelt message after the Donegal superstar stopped in to say hello to staff and customers alike.
"We often say 'you never know what could happen at The Cottage'and today was definitely one of those magical days!!
We got the biggest and loveliest surprise when Daniel O'Donnell called to see us.

"Daniel & Majella visited us in our old premises 6 years ago and Daniel was so impressed by how much we had progressed since then.
"He loved our new premises and was so interested in hearing all about our progress and how that we have now set up a new National Community Cafés Action Group.
"All our customers were thrilled to meet him and Daniel was so kind to stand in for photos.
"He actually went around to every table and spoke to everyone.
"He is an absolute gentleman - giving his time and attention so generously and freely Daniel you absolutely made our day, we loved having you with us and look forward to welcoming you to The Cottage again sometime.
"Huge thanks to Fr.Martin Delaney for organising the visit we always appreciate your loyal support."
