Tipperary Museum of Hidden History looking for local help with upcoming project

They want to hear from you about the seminal events in the Premier County

Tipperary Tipperary Tipperary
The Tipperary Museum of Hidden History are gradually putting together a calendar of major historical events that happened 'On This Day In Tipperary'.
Each event in the calendar is accompanied by a written piece and we have about 70 events inserted in the calendar so far.
There is a huge variation in the events, ranging from Borrisokane's Daniel Hough becoming the first casualty of the American Civil War on 14 April 1861, to New Inn's Lena Rice becoming the only Irish woman to win Wimbledon on 4 July 1890.
They want to hear from you about what you think are the seminal events that have happened in the Premier County down through the centuries and what merits being added to the calendar of Tipperary's most significant historical events. It may be the birth or death of a celebrated son or daughter of Tipperary, it may be a unique event that happened in the county, or a Tipperary person doing remarkable things abroad (did you know that Napoleon's physician on St. Helena was one Barry O'Meara of the Toomevara O'Meara's) or it may even be relating to a person not necessarily from Tipperary but belonging to the diverse Tipperary diaspora around the world (did you know that the character played by Daniel Day-Lewis in the Oscar-winning film There Will be Blood, Daniel Plainview, is based loosely on the story of the son of Pat Doheny from Lisronagh). As long as there is a link to Tipperary, they don't mind!
They would be thrilled and greatly appreciative if you could make suggestions on their social media page about events/people/places that you consider significant and which would allow them to build up a comprehensive body of work relating to events that happened 'On This Day In Tipperary'.
