WATCH: Cashel Community mourns as three are laid to rest

The funerals of three members of the Reilly family took place on Sunday afternoon at St John the Baptist church in the town

The three victims of the recent Cashel road tragedy, Tom and Bridgie Reilly and their three-year-old grandson Tom, were laid to rest yesterday afternoon in the town at Cormacs Cemetery.

Cashel parish priest Fr Enda Brady said the single-vehicle crash last Tuesday, which happened in the Windmill area of the town, brought great sadness to the family and the local community.

During the funeral mass Fr Brady thanked the gardaí, firefighters, paramedics and hospital staff for all their efforts in the aftermath of the accident.

He also thanked President Michael D Higgins for being there and said it “is truly appreciated and his support to the Reilly family and to the people of Tipperary this week will never be forgotten”.
