WOW! Supporters gather on the pitch where Tipp first played Cork over 280 years ago

'Where the magic started'... fans gather at the site of the first clash between the Munster rivals ahead of Sunday's All Ireland Final

Ahead of the All Ireland SHC Final between Tipperary and Cork on Sunday, July 20, Rathcormac Vintage Club are marking the site in North Cork which they believe the teams first faced one another back in 1741!

That game, which happened over 284 years ago, is also believed to be the first inter-county hurling match ever.

The winner on the day... Cork...

Make of that what you will as the sides contest hurling's biggest prize in Croke Park this weekend.
