'My mother probably has the rosary beads swallowed' - Tipperary manager overjoyed after All-Ireland win

Liam Cahill spoke about the nerves in the lead up to today as well as the joy in winning

In a post-match interview with RTÉ just minutes after securing Tipperary's win over Cork in the All-Ireland final, Tipperary manager Liam Cahill spoke about how overjoyed he was as well as the nerves in the build up to the big day.

"Elated, just so thrilled for that group of players and management and everybody that's been involved in our journey this year.

"I'm going to take an opportunity if you don't mind to give a big shout out to my mam and dad at home. My mother probably has the rosary beads swallowed at this stage and my father probably has the cows milked three times with nervousness.

"Just so thrilled for everybody, the supporters, the whole shebang."
