Sharlene Mawdsley is among the stars of Irish athletics who will be in action this weekend as the 123.ie National Senior Indoor Championships take centre stage at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

The action gets underway from 12pm on Saturday, with a second helping also taking place on Sunday from 12pm.

Sharlene Mawdsley will compete in the 200 and 400 metres events.

She is among a host of Olympic stars from Paris 2024 who are scheduled to return to competition on home soil across the two days.

They also including Sarah Lavin (60 metre hurdles), Cathal Doyle (1,500 metres), and recent record-breakers Andrew Coscoran (1,500 metres/3,000 metres) and Sarah Healy (800m/1,500 metres).

Tickets for Sunday are already sold out and spectators should not travel to the venue on Sunday without a Sunday ticket’.

A limited number of tickets for Saturday are still available.

Both days of competition will be streamed live on the Athletics Ireland YouTube Channel.
