Tipperary venue sells out for a cultural evening of learning about place names

Culture at the Castle event was a major success

  Cahir Social and Historical Society were delighted to welcome renowned RTE broadcaster John Creedon in the Great Hall of Cahir Castle last Sunday night.

John gave an extremely interesting talk on ‘Irish Place names’ to the sold out event which marked the start of the ‘Culture at The Castle’ Festival of events.

We have to give a big thank you to John for attending and also congratulate him on being honoured by IMRO for his outstanding contribution to Irish music and broadcasting last weekend.

John was particularly commended for his passion for Irish music and storytelling that continues to inspire audiences nationwide.

This was evident in Cahir Castle last Sunday night as the crowd listened intently to John's talk.
