'One of life’s gentlemen' - Tributes paid after sad death of popular Tipperary man

Tributes have been paid to popular Tipperary man Patrick (Pat) Flynn after the Grangemockler native passed away this week.

An RIP.ie notice says Pat, who lived in Carrick-on-Suir, died peacefully surrounded by his family in the care of the Oak ward Staff at Waterford University Hospital.

The notice continues to say he is "deeply regretted by his loving sister Nellie, nephew Paul, nieces Mary, Ann, Cathy and Brigid grand-nieces Valerie, Laura, Malissa, Emma and Roisin grand-nephew William, great-grand-niece Kaydie Mai, great-grand-nephew Kyle, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends."

Tributes are continuing to flow in for Mr Flynn, including one that read: "Pat you will be sadly missed. Thanks for collecting the papers for the girls in the betting office all the years. I hope you get the best bed in heaven that you deserve."

Another read: "Sincere condolences to Pat's family...we had the pleasure of Pat attending day care for a short time. He was a lovely quiet man. May his gentle soul rest in peace."

A third added: "Sincere condolences to all the Flynn family. On Pat’s passing. Pat was one of life’s gentlemen. May Pat Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing in Brett's Funeral Home Mullinahone on Thursday 16th January from 4pm - 6pm with removal at 6:30pm to St Mary's Church Grangemockler for 7pm .

Requiem Mass on Friday January 17th at 11:30am in St Mary's Church Grangemockler followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
