Tipperary County Council proposes to temporarily close the road at the railway crossing at Cregg Road, Carrick-on-Suir

Tipperary County Council is proposing to temporarily close the R-697 at the XL156 Level Crossing at the Cregg Road, Carrick-on-Suir for several days next month to facilitate upgrade works at the railway crossing. 

The Council proposes the closure take place from 8.30am on Saturday, July 12 until 5pm on Tuesday, July 15. 

Traffic travelling in the southbound direction will be diverted via the L-2607 at Cregg, turning left onto the L-2605-2.

Traffic travelling in the northbound direction will be diverted via the L-2601 at Poulmaleen, then turning left onto the R-696.

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co Tipperary not later than 12 noon on Thursday, June 19 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
