An evening of songs and stories to celebrate the summer solstice is planned near Carrick-on-Suir

The event will take place at Kilkieran Cottage Barn at Skough in south Kilkenny

Summer solstice to be celebrated in Windgap

Knockroe Passage Tomb located about 10km from Carrick-on-Suir near Ahenny where the sun shines through during the summer solstice

fun filleevening of songs and stories to mark the Summer Solstice takes place in Kilkieran Cottage Barn at Skough near Carrick-on-Suir on Saturday, June 21. 

The event runs from 8pm to 11pm and is being organised by the Lingaun Valley Tourism group . 

A limited amount of tickets at €10 can be purchased by calling Ade on (087) 6949321 or Richard at (087) 9963355 or  online via Eventbrite.ie
