A sold-out 90s & 00s Rewind Halloween Night scheduled for October 26 at The Carraig Hotel in Carrick-on-Suir has been cancelled.

Organisers announced the news with "heavy hearts", saying they were left with no choice but to call off the event due to insurance complications.

In a statement, the 90s & 00s Rewind team said: "We’re so sorry to announce that our 90s & 00s Rewind Halloween Night at The Carraig Hotel on October 26 will no longer be going ahead. This event was completely sold out, and we were genuinely overwhelmed by the incredible support and excitement from everyone. That makes this announcement even harder to share."

They explained that despite efforts to resolve the issue, a solution could not be found.

"Unfortunately, due to insurance clause complications, and after exploring every possible option with both our insurance provider and The Carraig Hotel, we have not been able to find a workable solution. The only responsible choice left to us is to fully cancel the event," the statement continued.

The organisers thanked The Carraig Hotel for their cooperation and support, stressing that the issue was not the hotel's fault.

"Despite everyone’s best efforts and full cooperation from The Carraig Hotel (who have been absolutely fantastic to work with), this outcome was unavoidable. We want to make it clear that The Carraig Hotel has been fully supportive throughout this process, and this situation is no reflection on them whatsoever."

Full refunds will be automatically issued to all ticket holders.

"Full refunds will be issued automatically to all ticket holders, so there’s no need to worry or contact us — we’ll make sure everyone is taken care of promptly," the statement said.

The 90s & 00s Rewind team thanked supporters for their enthusiasm and said they are already planning future events.

"We can't thank you enough for your amazing support, energy, and enthusiasm. Please keep an eye on our page for future events — we’re already working on new plans and hope to bring you another brilliant night very soon. Thank you all so much for your understanding and support."
