Uisce Éireann had planned to cut the water supply in the town overnight to carry out maintenance work
A scheduled water outage that was due to take place in Cashel overnight into Tuesday morning (July 29) has been cancelled by Uisce Éireann.
Local councillor Liam Browne issued a statement on Monday to say that "as a result of issues with water outages in Cashel over the weekend, a scheduled outage that was due to take place between 1am and 5am on July 29 has been postponed and will be rescheduled shortly".
Water supply has been somewhat of an issue in areas of the town as of late, with locals in Greenfields complaining of no water for upwards of four days.

An imposed overnight outage took place from 11pm on Tuesday July 22 until the following morning where residents were advised not to use washing machines or other appliances overnight.
Residents in the town had their water supply interrupted earlier this month after a mechanical issue at the Springmount Water Treatment Plant and a subsequent major burst on the trunk main from the plant.
The outage impacted customers in Cashel town and the surrounding areas.
Its not yet clear when the rescheduled outage will take place in the town.
