Local heroes lead the celebrations as Liam MacCarthy cup visits Leahy Park in Cashel

Hundreds of Tipp fans turned out on Saturday evening to get a glimpse of the iconic piece of silverware

Fans were delighted to meet members of the Tipp panel as well and celebrate last month's historic win over Cork

The Liam McCarthy Cup paid a visit to Cashel King Cormacs GAA Club last weekend alongside a host of Tipperary’s hurling heroes.

A whole host of Tipp fans turned out for the event in in Leahy Park on Sunday, as Tipperary’s recent comeback against fierce Munster rivals Cork last month continued to be celebrated in the Premier County.

As well as the Liam MacCarthy Cup, fans were also treated to pictures and autographs from local heroes Eoghan Connelly and Oisín O’Donoghue.

Tipp fans had the opportunity to get their photo with the cup.

Local councillor Declan Burgess praised the ‘great atmosphere’ at Leahy Park.
