Children from Tipperary spent the day as honourary gardaí recently in Dublin.

The excursion was organised by Tipperary south TD Michael Murphy.

In a post on Facebook, An Garda Síochána Tipperary said: "There are some very tired young people on the way home to Tipperary now after an amazing day in Dáil Éireann - thanks to Michael Murphy, TD for organising it & welcoming us all so kindly

"Thank you to everyone who helped us today with this trip, it was a lot of work but the smiles on the children's faces made it all worthwhile!

"It was so lovely that so many wanted to meet the Little Blue Heroes and took time out of their day to say hello! Little Blue Heroes are a powerful group to get doors open & people out of their office!

"These amazing Honorary Gardaí have a lot to say & were happy to be there & get the job done!"
