We are delighted to have been asked to host them again for the opening show on their first big Irish tour. The last gig in Bakers Sold Out, so we expect the “return of The Wran to Clonmel” to sell out too.”
Since May they have played all the major summer IRE and UK Festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Electric Picnic, and All Together Now.
FOLKLORE
The 9 show Irish tour takes them all over the country after Clonmel, including Dublin, Cork and Belfast. A big UK tour in 2026 is in the planning stages.
“Steeped in folklore and fury, The Wran won’t be Ireland’s best-kept secret for long" - Whelans, Dublin
Emerging from the Comeragh Mountains of County Waterford, 4 Brothers—Tommy, Danny, Sean, and Stephen Dunford—form the heart of the brand-new trad fusion band
THE WRAN.
Inspired by the likes of Moving hearts, Lankum, Planxty, and the Mary Wallopers, The Wran united to form their band, infusing traditional Irish tunes with contemporary folk nuances. Their sound is built upon banjo, acoustic guitar, accordion, electric guitar, bass and drums, and special 4 part harmonies that only family members can create.
Their performances weave old folk tunes with original compositions, enchanting audiences with their authenticity and innovation. The band has only begun their journey, but their dynamic energy and musical prowess leave an enduring impact.
ROOTS AGENCY
The Wran were signed up straight away by one of the UK's foremost Roots agency, Midnight Mango, having performed at Irelands Artist showcase "Your roots Are Showing" in January this year.

“Not heard of them before... We're definitely gonna change that!" - Matt Bartlett, Midnight Mango (UK) CEO

“The Wran feels like both a natural evolution and also a bold reinvention. There’s something seriously exciting about a band that can blend the raw spirit of trad with the inventive flair of acts like The Scratch and Amble, and still come away sounding like nobody but themselves.”- mcgigmusic.com
