The late Vera Hewitt
The death has occurred of the former Mayor of Clonmel Vera Hewitt.
The former Fianna Fáil councillor served on Clonmel Corporation for many years, and was Mayor on a number of occasions.
She was also very well known for her involvement in the family bakery in Mitchel Street.
Vera was actively involved in the community life of the town and was a prominent member of several organisations, including Tidy Towns.
May she rest in peace.
